Shut up and Sing!

Some of my most favorite bands have taken to the streets and are having concerts to raise funds for the Democrats. I am in a quandry about this - as I am a huge fan of two of them.

I know their songs are about equality - justice and choice. I enjoy the music and have my favorite songs that I know word for word.

But as with some great actors - I really don't want to hear what you think.

Why is it that you feel that because your profession allows you to be placed in front of a microphone that I want to hear you speak about politics?

Why do think I would pay to attend a concert where not one nice thing will be said about the current administration and turn into a bashing of America. For all the Dem's out there - let me say two words...Whoopi Goldberg. Oh wait...how about, Alec Baldwin. Lest not we forget about the...Dixie Chicks. Top that with Susan Sarandon and her paramour Tim Robbins and an outsider would think America really stinks.

So I say to the Pearl Jams and the U2's (Hey your from Ireland, what you say doesnt count)
