I'm a mover baby.

I dont mean that in an exercise sense.

I like to move - since living with my parents (who are not movers) I think I have moved 6 times in about 15 years (give or take).

I like to move - something new - something different. I get bored easy and I need something to entertain me.

Notice how boredom is only in 4 year spurts. So its not like I have ADD.

So I moved into my last home in 2001. Love - love - love the neighborhood. I love it more so because I smell money everytime I drive into it. It was one of those up and coming hoods that I got into at the right time and now I am a gazillionaire - muuhhaaaa. On paper that is.

Well - here the itch. I stay because I know that the hood is going thru changes - and I dig the location. But my house bores me.

So - I am taking on remodeling.

I had guests over last night and they had remodeled their place and I heard the horror stories. HB past life home had a full overhaul and it sounded awful.

I am hoping that this will fly swimmingly. I am going slightly upscale. Not doing the Home Depot thing and not using a professional interior decorator as my previous horror stories did.

I am using a kind of boutique kitchen renovation place. I have seen their work. I know some of their clients. I somehow think that they would not make this a terror for me.

I figure since I am paying a little more - I will get quick, quality work. Yes, there will be a mess - but I just don't see how bad it can be. Some of thier projects with certain people - I cannot see those people putting up with crap.

So - I am looking forward to the finished project. My home is small and this project encompasses half my home and I think that it will be a fantastic change.

Because my home is small - I spend the majority of my time on that side of the house. Why not make it spectacular?

I also have a new housemate moving in.

HB will be living here full time come July 1st. I get some new furniture and I get to throw some out.

So I may not be "moving" but I am getting a change and I am really excited because boredom was starting to settle in.
